Enchanted by the lad’s beauty before her,the pink haired quartz couldn’t help but to become curious about him. Examining him from head to toe,making a mental note of every detail he possessed,a jolly smile soon curved on her lips.

“Pardon me,dear!

      Please forgive my rudeness. I was just fascinated by you.”

With a mind full of questions and a smile that soon turned into a silly,cute grin,the quartz placed both hands upon her hips.

      “So tell me,what’s is your name?”

Needless to say, the silver star would have never expected someone to find him in the exclusive part of Beach City, and to add to that, nearly making him choke on his own snack by surprise.  

Guess this place wasn’t so secret now.

“It’s– cough– alright. I’m- cough cough Sterling.”

“!!!

Sterling,are you okay!?”

Shock was soon visible in her eyes as a concerned expression soon rose to her features. Quickly,she started patting the other’s back in a gentle manner,trying her best to help.

Boy,this was surely a way to make a good first impression,right?

“Do you need some water,dear?”

Stepping off the warp pad,the quartz’s face was soon filled with curiosity of the unfamiliar area.

“I’m not suppose to be here.”

Dusky hues scanned the area before her,making a mental note of everything. Where ever she was didn’t phase her one bit. This was just a new place to explore for her. Perhaps she should find someone to inquire where she is.

Within the slight distance she saw a figure. Curiosity took over her mind as she walked across the land,making little to no sound as possible.

“Excuse me,would you mind telling me where I am?”

“Oh!

   Dear,what glorious hair you possess! I’ve never seen a human with that color before. Would you mind telling me how you got it?”

Inquired the tall,pink gem. Smokey hues stared down at the lad in awe as curious expression soon rose to her features.

“After all these years on earth,humans keep changing.”

    ^“Pearl.”

^{The name rolled off Rose’s tongue like silk. She smiles down towards the smaller gem,holding her hand out.}   

    ^{“Do you wish to accompany me on my walk to the weaponry?”}

^{She would ask,hoping the other gem will agree. Time with her gems was important to Rose.}

       ^{Especially in times like this.}

  ^{;;It was life after the war. All was safe and calm}

                ^{Or so everybody thought}

^{However,the aftermaths of the war wasn’t everybody’s concern right now. Everybody was too busy enjoying the peace and tranquility of this day}

                                            ^{including the rebellious leader herself}

^{There she sat within the private quarters of her garden,tending to the plant life. Her pink ringlets would blow gently in the breeze;The scene it self looked to be the perfect picture for peace itself;however,no matter how peaceful it looked the pink gem was always on guard}

Meanwhile, a member of Rose’s forces had returned.  Well, an ex member.  It wasn’t due to rejoining Homeworld or anything like that.  But it was because the tiny Diopside fled in the middle of the war.  Her own cowardice had gotten to her.  She had feared for hr life since she wasn’t a fighter, so she simply ran.

But here she was now, just outside of Rose’s quarters.  Her tiny, grey head poking its way out of a bush that nearly reached the sky.  Afterall, privacy was important for a gem as respected and important as the pink Quartz.

“Um.. M-Miss Rose?”  Black Star swallowed a nervous lump in her throat.  “May I.. um.. t-talk for a minute?”

^{;;A familiar voice filled her ears as she was tending to the plant life. Slowly,she pivoted around to get a look at who it was. When she saw,a small,but delightful,smile danced across her lips.}

                             ^{“You may,dear.}

                                       ^{Is something wrong?”}

^{The quartz remembers this gem all to well;what happen in the war didn’t change how she felt about this gem,not one bit. She tried her best,and that’s all that matters. Standing up to get a good glimpse of the smaller gem,Rose kept the smile upon her visage as she neatly folded her hands across her abdomen,awaiting for the other gem’s answer.}

The Diopside knew that Rose was a kind and patient gem.  One that rarely rose her voice or got angry to her knowledge.  But still, Black Star was nervous about asking if she could talk to her.  Why?  It was the subject on the monochrome gem’s mind.  Plus throw in Black Star’s natural timidity, you had the perfect recipee for a nervous gem.

“Um.. k-kind of.”  Black Star answered, shrinking back in the pastel colored bush.  Though her face was still visibly, it was covered in a shadow of leaves.

“Do you think.. um..” gulping, Black Star poked her head fully out of the shrubbery again.  “Homeworld.. might.. c-come back?” Although the war had been over, Black Star was still fearful of those gems.

^{The smile upon her face never ceased. She understood Black star’s fear all too well. Rose knew that the homeworld would come back;she just didn’t know when.}

           ^{“There’s no doubt in my mind that they will come back.}

                    ^{And when they do,we’ll be here waiting for them.}

                  ^{After all,it’s our job to protect everybody who calls this planet their home.”}

^{Rose got down on her knees to meet eye level with the other gem,offering her hand out towards Black Star.}

^{“You’re one of us,dear. I will do everything in my power to protect you and this planet.” Like a mother,she tried her best to offer reassurance to the other gem;however,Rose,herself,was scared as well. She didn’t know what Homeworld would have for them when they’ll return.}
